LVMPD Confirms Arrest in Las Vegas Boulevard Homicide; Suspect Turns Himself In

LAS VEGAS — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) announced the arrest of 41-year-old Manuel Ruiz in connection with the June 8th double homicide near the Bellagio on South Las Vegas Boulevard.
According to a release from the LVMPD Office of Public Information, Ruiz turned himself in to a Henderson Police Station on June 9, 2025. He was immediately taken into custody without incident and will be booked into the Clark County Detention Center on two counts of Open Murder with a Deadly Weapon.
The arrest follows a fatal shooting on June 8, 2025, around 10:40 p.m., when LVMPD officers, while on routine patrol in the 3600 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard, heard gunfire and responded to the scene. They located two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Medical personnel attempted life-saving measures, but both victims were pronounced deceased at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing and being led by the LVMPD Homicide Section. The victims’ identities and the official cause of death will be determined by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
