Police Seek Driver After Hit-and-Run Critically Injures Woman Near Downtown Las Vegas

Authorities are seeking assistance from the public in identifying a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run incident that left a 58-year-old woman critically injured early Sunday morning near downtown Las Vegas.
The collision occurred shortly after 4 a.m. at the intersection of Bonanza Road and City Parkway, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Investigators said a 2013 to 2017 Nissan Pathfinder was traveling westbound on Bonanza Road when it struck a woman in a wheelchair who was crossing within a marked crosswalk while pushing a shopping cart. At the time of the crash, the pedestrian signal indicated “don’t walk.”
Police stated the SUV struck the woman with its front right side, causing her to be thrown into the roadway. The driver did not stop and was last seen continuing west on Bonanza Road before heading north on Martin Luther King Boulevard.
The woman sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.
