Three Injured in Southwest Las Vegas After Sedan Hits RTC Bus on Flamingo/Rainbow

A late-night collision in southwest Las Vegas landed three individuals in hospital after a sedan struck a city bus, according to local police. The crash occurred at approximately 10:44 p.m. Monday near Rainbow Boulevard and Flamingo Road, when the sedan reportedly rear-ended a transit bus operated by the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada. Smoke was seen coming from the bus following impact. The driver of the sedan is suspected of impairment, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, and was taken into custody on DUI-related charges. The bus driver was not believed to be impaired. The crash remains under investigation.
