White House Calls on Americans to Expose Media Bias And Nevadans Are Ready

By TheNevadaGlobeStaff, December 6, 2025 4:00 pm

The White House is upping the ante in its fight against misinformation, launching a new “Media Bias Portal” that invites Americans to submit examples of dishonest reporting, skewed narratives, and politically motivated hit pieces. It’s a clear message to the corporate press: your free pass is over.

According to the administration, the new portal empowers citizens to flag biased or false stories that too often go unchallenged by legacy outlets more interested in protecting partisan allies than informing the public.

Through the official tipline, Americans can now submit articles, clips, or headlines they believe distort the truth. The White House describes the initiative as a necessary tool to fight back against “baseless lies, purposely omitted context, and outright left-wing lunacy from the Fake News Media.”

For years, conservatives have warned that the national press acts less like a watchdog and more like a political enforcement arm. This portal puts power back in the hands of the people — not the newsrooms that have routinely misled them.

The site doesn’t just collect tips. The White House publicly posts examples of confirmed media bias — naming the outlet, the reporter, the false or misleading claim, and the corrected facts.

A running leaderboard tracks which outlets rack up the most violations, exposing what the administration calls “serial offenders.” For an industry that lectures Americans about accountability, many newsrooms aren’t handling the spotlight well.

If there’s any state that understands slanted coverage, it’s Nevada,  where the legacy press routinely carries water for Democrats like Dina Titus, Susie Lee, and Steven Horsford while downplaying the economic progress fueled by President Trump.

Whether it’s selective reporting on border security, burying illegal-immigrant crime, or parroting talking points about the so-called “Trump Slump,” Nevadans have watched the media bend reality in real time. This portal gives them a place to fight back.

Critics, mostly the same outlets that have been caught spreading misinformation, claim the portal is an attack on free speech. But airing out falsehoods isn’t censorship. It’s sunlight. And sunlight is exactly what the media industry has been avoiding for years.

The White House’s Media Bias Portal makes one thing clear: the days of unchecked narrative-spinning are over, and the American people are finally getting a voice in holding the press accountable.
