A Las Vegas man is in custody following the deaths of two people believed to be his parents, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Police said they received a call shortly before midnight on December 27 from a man who reported killing someone and expressed intent to harm himself. Investigators traced the call to a home in the 6400 block of New Brunswick Avenue, near East Washington Avenue.
Officers later located and arrested Adrian Bailey, 27, near East Stewart Avenue and North Fogg Street. When police entered the residence, they found an adult man and woman unresponsive and suffering from blunt force trauma. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, while the woman was transported to a hospital, where she later died.
Bailey was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on two counts of open murder with a deadly weapon. Authorities said the Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the victims’ identities and determine the official cause of death.
The investigation remains ongoing. Police are asking anyone with information related to the case to contact the LVMPD Homicide Section or Crime Stoppers.
