Trump Delivers $179 Million to Rural Nevada While Titus, Lee, and Horsford Voted to Kill It

Rural Nevada just scored a massive healthcare win and it came despite the best efforts of the state’s Democrat delegation to stop it.
This week, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced that Nevada will receive $179 million through the Rural Health Transformation Program, part of the broader $50 billion rural healthcare investment included in President Trump and Republicans’ One Big Beautiful Bill.
The funding will be distributed over five years, from FY 2026 through FY 2030, and is designed to stabilize rural healthcare systems, expand access to care, and support innovation in underserved communities. It represents the largest investment in rural healthcare since the Medicare Modernization Act of 2003, a milestone that hasn’t been matched in more than two decades.
The program, administered by Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, targets longstanding challenges facing rural providers, including workforce shortages, hospital closures, and limited access to specialty care. For Nevada’s rural communities — from mining towns to agricultural regions, the funding is nothing short of transformative.
Yet while rural Nevadans celebrate, it’s worth remembering who tried to block this investment.
Democrats Dina Titus, Susie Lee, and Steven Horsford all voted against the Big Beautiful Bill, effectively opposing $179 million flowing into rural Nevada healthcare.
Back in July, National Republican Congressional Committee Spokesman Christian Martinez summed it up plainly:
“The facts couldn’t be any clearer: President Trump and Republicans’ One Big Beautiful Bill is a huge win for Nevadans. Instead of supporting this landmark legislation, out of touch Democrats Dina Titus, Susie Lee, and Steven Horsford tried to stop it, and Nevada voters won’t forget.”
This rural healthcare investment also builds on Donald Trump’s broader push to lower healthcare costs nationwide. Earlier this year, President Trump secured agreements with 14 of the 17 largest pharmaceutical companies to reduce drug prices, part of a larger effort to increase transparency, rein in Big Pharma, and put American patients first.
The contrast couldn’t be clearer. Republicans are delivering real results for rural Nevada: stronger hospitals, better access to care, and lower prescription costs. Democrats? More Washington politics, more “no” votes, and more excuses.
Rural Nevadans are getting the investment they deserve and it’s happening because Republicans kept their promises, even when Nevada Democrats tried to stand in the way.
