Open Borders, Open Graves: Dems Own the Death Toll

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is wrong — and the facts are not on his side. President Donald Trump’s immigration policies are saving lives by restoring enforcement, backing law enforcement, and ending the chaos Democrats unleashed at the southern border. While Walz and national Democrats cling to open borders talking points, the Trump administration is focused on a simple truth: fewer illegal crossings mean fewer victims.

Under President Trump, border security is once again being enforced, ICE is being empowered to do its job, and dangerous criminals are being removed from American communities. That approach stands in stark contrast to the Biden-era policies Democrats cheered — policies that allowed violent offenders, repeat criminals, and cartel-linked individuals to enter the country and disappear into cities and states across the nation, including Nevada.

Nevadans have paid the price. Last year alone, communities across the country saw widely reported cases of Americans killed by illegal immigrants who should never have been here in the first place — tragedies tied directly to catch-and-release policies, sanctuary protections, and a refusal to enforce the law. These were not accidents. They were the predictable consequences of an open-border agenda that put politics over public safety.

Nevada Democrats Dina Titus, Susie Lee, and Steven Horsford didn’t just stand by — they actively supported it. All three backed sanctuary-style policies and voted in lockstep with the Biden administration’s open-border agenda that allowed dangerous illegal criminals into Nevada communities. When enforcement mattered most, they chose ideology over safety.

Even worse, Titus, Lee, and Horsford have repeatedly attacked Immigration and Customs Enforcement. They voted against more than $100 billion in funding for ICE and border enforcement, undermining the very officers tasked with stopping violent criminals, human traffickers, and drug smugglers. After inciting the border crisis with reckless votes and rhetoric, they’ve gone radio silent as the violence tied to illegal immigration continues to mount.

As was made clear last July by the National Republican Committee Spokesman Christian Martinez who said: “ICE officers put their lives on the line every day to keep our border secure and Nevadans safe. Instead of fighting for them, out of touch Dina Titus, Susie Lee, and Steven Horsford are fighting against them. Their open-borders, anti-ICE agenda is dangerous, and we will make sure voters never forget it.”

President Trump is proving that enforcing the law saves lives. Democrats like Walz, Titus, Lee, and Horsford are proving the opposite. Nevadans deserve leaders who stand with law enforcement, secure the border, and put public safety first — not politicians who excuse chaos and hope voters ignore the consequences.
