Saks Off 5th Launches Final Liquidation as Two Las Vegas Stores Prepare to Close
By TheNevadaGlobeStaff, January 30, 2026 10:41 am
Saks Off 5th has begun final liquidation sales at its two Las Vegas locations following a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing by its parent company, Saks Global. The discount luxury retailer confirmed that the stores at Town Square and Las Vegas North Premium Outlets are among 57 Saks Off 5th locations closing nationwide.
The closures are part of a broader restructuring effort by Saks Global, which plans to concentrate future operations on its full-price luxury brands, including Neiman Marcus. As a result, the off-price Saks Off 5th model will be phased out in multiple markets, including Southern Nevada.
Liquidation sales officially started Friday, January 31, with storewide discounts expected to increase as the closing process continues. Customers holding Saks Off 5th gift cards are encouraged to use them by mid-February, as they will no longer be accepted once the stores shut down.
Company representatives have indicated that the closures are not tied to local performance but are instead part of a nationwide strategy to streamline operations and focus on higher-margin luxury retail. No timeline has been announced for the exact final day of operations at the Las Vegas locations.
The closures mark another shift in the retail landscape as national brands continue to reassess brick-and-mortar footprints amid changing consumer spending habits and ongoing economic pressures.
