Titus Sides With Tehran as Trump Crushes Iran’s Terror Regime

By TheNevadaGlobeStaff, March 2, 2026 6:00 am

Rep. Dina Titus fired off a social media broadside after President Donald J. Trump launched Operation Epic Fury, demanding Congress immediately return to Washington to stop what she called an illegal war with Iran.

She accused Speaker Mike Johnson and Leader John Thune of being the President’s lap dogs and claimed the American people want answers about why Trump is attacking now and what comes next.

Let’s translate.

After the U.S. military executed nearly 900 strikes in 12 hours. After Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was reportedly killed along with dozens of regime figures. After 47 years of Iranian terror targeting Americans.

Dina Titus is worried about stopping Trump. If Johnson and Thune are lap dogs for an American president defending American lives, then Titus is sounding an awful lot like a lap dog for a regime that has American blood on its hands.

For decades, the Iranian regime backed Hezbollah, bombed embassies, armed militias, and openly chanted death to America. Now that the head of that terror machine is gone, Titus’ instinct is not relief. It is resistance.

Democrats say they care about human rights. They march. They hashtag. They lecture. Unless Donald Trump is the one confronting a regime that stones women, jails dissidents, and funds terror across the globe. Then suddenly they want process.

Titus demands to know why Trump is attacking now. Here is a short answer. Because Iran was rebuilding what had been destroyed. Because intelligence indicated movement. Because American deterrence only works when it is real.

President Trump’s warning to Iran’s military was crystal clear. Lay down your weapons or face certain death. That is not reckless. That is clarity.

The Nevada Democrat’s reaction exposes the real divide. One side believes American strength prevents war. The other believes American hesitation earns applause at faculty lounges and cable panels.

Nevada voters have watched this movie before. Weakness abroad. Chaos at home. Borders ignored. Enemies emboldened. And politicians in Washington more outraged at the President than at foreign regimes that target Americans.

Titus’ rhetoric fits that pattern.

She calls for halting action against a regime responsible for decades of terror. She questions the timing. She attacks Republican leadership. All while the world watches America reassert deterrence in real time.

This is the same political class that cannot define basic biological reality, yet now wants to lecture the Commander in Chief on constitutional war powers in the middle of an unfolding national security operation. Spare us. Nevada is not clamoring for retreat. Voters here understand that when a terror regime tests the United States, the response cannot be a press release and a procedural complaint.

It has to be force. Operation Epic Fury sent that message. And Dina Titus just told Nevadans which side she is on.
