Foreign Affairs Democrat Appears Confused, Contradicts Herself Repeatedly in TV Interview

Nevada Rep. Dina Titus delivered a confusing, contradictory interview this week that raised fresh questions about her grasp of foreign policy and national security issues.

From the opening segment, Titus struggled to articulate clear answers. She claimed she didn’t want the Kennedy Center Honors “politicized,” then immediately used the topic to attack President Trump. She then shifted abruptly into Venezuela policy with disjointed claims about impeachment, war powers, and “Snapchat secrets,” at times speaking in fragments that even the host seemed unsure how to follow.

The confusion only deepened.

At one point, Titus argued:

Congress must assert its war powers authority, but seconds later, acknowledged the president does have the right to respond militarily if attacked, before criticizing him for responding in the way he did.

Her statements weren’t merely contradictory, they were incoherent.

She also appeared to conflate regions, warning that the U.S. is “in the southwest… here in south Florida… Nevada has been struck at the heart,” leaving viewers unsure what state or region she was referring to.

This is not the first time Titus’ communication has been questioned. As one of the longest-tenured Democrats in the House, and a senior member of the Foreign Affairs Committee,  she is expected to bring clarity to complex issues.

Instead, Nevadans watching the interview saw a congresswoman struggling to explain her own positions while bouncing between unrelated thoughts.

At a time of global instability, Nevadans deserve steady leadership and clear thinking,  not on-air confusion about basic foreign policy concepts and geographic facts.
