Horsford in the Hot Seat Over $5 Million Haul from ActBlue after President Trump Cracks Down on Foreign Election Cash

President Donald J. Trump took decisive action Thursday, signing an executive order targeting the Democrat fundraising machine ActBlue after damning revelations of illegal foreign contributions.
According to a White House document obtained by The Free Press, the order directs the Attorney General to investigate widespread fraud and foreign interference in U.S. elections – fraud that directly implicates top Democrats like Nevada Congressman Steven Horsford.
“The Memorandum directs the Attorney General to investigate and take appropriate action concerning allegations regarding the use of online fundraising platforms to make ‘straw’ or ‘dummy’ contributions and to make foreign contributions to U.S. political candidates and committees, all of which break the law,” the White House said.
The memo specifically cites a congressional investigation that uncovered massive fraud schemes involving ActBlue. Over a 30-day period during the 2024 election cycle, hundreds of donations were funneled through foreign IP addresses using prepaid debit cards, classic tactics to launder foreign money into U.S. politics. Now, the Justice Department is under orders to report its findings directly to the President.
For Nevada, this scandal hits especially close to home. Internal documents revealed by the New York Postshow ActBlue “made donation standards more lenient,” knowingly accepting foreign contributions during the 2024 election cycle. And at the center of it all is Rep. Steven Horsford a man who has quietly amassed over $5 million from ActBlue since 2018.
The same documents, along with a Treasury Department memo, detail hundreds of suspicious transactions tied to Horsford’s fundraising efforts. Banks flagged donations, many with foreign markers, yet Horsford continued to cash in.
“Manchurian Democrat Steven Horsford isn’t just raking in foreign cash, now we know he is bought and paid for by shady foreign donors. Who’s really pulling his strings?” said NRCC Spokesman Christian Martinez.
For years, Horsford has portrayed himself as a champion of Nevada families. But the money trail tells a different story, one that leads straight to overseas bank accounts and shell donations disguised through a broken platform.
President Trump’s executive order marks the first serious attempt to shut down this pipeline of foreign cash into American politics. For Horsford, it may be the beginning of the end. As investigators dig deeper and the facts come to light, one thing is clear: this scandal isn’t going away.
