Nevada Jobs Lag Under Democrats, Trump Now Has to Clean Up the Mess

New data shows Nevada’s unemployment rate dipped slightly over the past year—from 5.8 percent to 5.2 percent—but don’t let the spin fool you. Even with that modest improvement, Nevada remains one of the worst states in the nation for unemployment, a direct result of years of failed Democrat leadership and economic malpractice.

Under Joe Biden, Nevada’s economy was dragged down by reckless spending, inflation-driving policies, and hostility toward the industries that actually create jobs. While Washington Democrats celebrated bloated bills and press releases, Nevada families were stuck paying more for groceries, gas, and rent—while job growth lagged behind nearly every other state.

And Nevada Democrats didn’t just stand by—they cheered it on. Out-of-touch Democrats Dina Titus, Susie Lee, and Steven Horsford rubber-stamped Biden’s agenda every step of the way. They backed policies that crushed small businesses, fueled inflation, and made it harder for employers to hire—then acted surprised when Nevada’s unemployment rate stayed near the bottom nationally.

Yes, the rate came down slightly. But that’s like bragging about slowing the leak while the basement is still flooded. Other states surged ahead. Nevada didn’t—because Democrats put ideology over growth and bureaucracy over paychecks.

Thankfully, adults are back in charge.

With Donald J. Trump leading the country again, the focus has shifted where it belongs: lowering costs, cutting red tape, securing the border, and unleashing American energy and business growth. Trump’s pro-growth, pro-worker agenda is exactly what Nevada needs to get people back to work and wages moving up—not stagnant.

The contrast couldn’t be clearer. Democrats like Titus, Lee, and Horsford delivered excuses and talking points. President Trump is delivering results.

Nevadans don’t need spin—they need jobs. And after years of Democrat failure, it’s a relief to finally have a president who understands that a strong economy starts with putting American workers first.
