Sigal Chattah Takes the Helm: Nevada’s New U.S. Attorney Is Here to Clean House
By TheNevadaGlobeStaff, April 1, 2025 6:00 am
Buckle up, Nevada, Justice just got a new sheriff, and her name is Sigal Chattah. On March 30, 2025, President Donald Trump tapped this firebrand conservative attorney to serve as interim U.S. Attorney for the Silver State, with her boots hitting the ground on April 1. Cue the predictable pearl, clutching from the Left, but for those of us who value liberty, law, and a good old-fashioned spine, this is the best news Nevada’s seen since the slot machines started paying out. Chattah’s not just a prosecutor, she’s a warrior, and she’s here to take on the bloated, corrupt establishment that’s been choking this state for far too long.
Let’s start with the good, because there’s plenty. Chattah’s a bona fide champion of the little guy, think David with a law degree facing down Goliath’s nanny, state bureaucrats. Remember when Nevada’s overlords shuttered churches during the COVID hysteria, trampling the First Amendment like it was a suggestion? Chattah didn’t just sit there whining on X, she fought back, representing the faithful and forcing those sanctimonious lockdown edicts to bend. She’s the kind of lawyer who doesn’t just talk about personal liberties, she swings a legal sledgehammer to defend them. And when she’s not battling for your right to worship, she’s taking on election laws that stifle the average Joe’s ability to keep the system honest, currently arguing before the 9th Circuit to protect observers from overreaching harassment statutes. That’s not extremism, that’s principle.
Of course, the Left’s already in hysterics, and they’ve got their talking points locked and loaded. Exhibit A: Chattah’s spicy quip in a private chat that Nevada AG Aaron Ford “should be hanging from a crane.” Cue the outrage machine, racism! Violence! Oh, the humanity! Except, as Chattah explained, it’s a Middle Eastern curse from her Israeli heritage, not a literal scaffold blueprint. Context matters, snowflakes, but don’t expect Senators Catherine Cortez Masto and Jacky Rosen to care, they’re too busy clutching their pronoun badges and sobbing about “extremism.” Then there’s her defence of a so-called “fake elector” in 2020, which the Left paints as treason but any sane person sees as a lawyer doing her job in a messy election fight. These aren’t scandals, they’re badges of honor. Chattah doesn’t cower to the woke mob or the sanctimonious elite, she swings back, and hard.
Through it all, this woman kept her character sharper than a Vegas blackjack dealer’s cut. She ran for Nevada AG in 2022 against Ford and lost, of course she did, what do you expect from the state with the worst election integrity in the country, but not before turning the race into a referendum on spineless governance. Ford wouldn’t even debate her after her crane comment. Apparently, he’d rather hide behind his office than face her in the ring. The Left threw everything at her: racist labels, conspiracy smears, threats of political exile. She didn’t flinch. Now, with Trump and AG Pam Bondi backing her, she’s stepping into the U.S. Attorney’s office like a lioness ready to hunt. Nevada GOP chair Michael McDonald nailed it: “It’s a bad day to be a bad guy.” Amen to that.
And oh, does Nevada need her. For years, this state’s been a playground for lawlessness masquerading as leadership. Elected officials and their appointed cronies have operated like Teflon dons, immune to investigation, shielded by their titles, and laughing all the way to the bank while the border bleeds chaos into our streets. These aren’t petty thieves, they’re the white, collar crooks who make the cartels look like amateurs. Enforcement? Please. The old guard’s been too busy sipping cocktails with their buddies in power to care. But those days might just be over. With Chattah in the U.S. Attorney’s chair and Kash Patel taking the reins at the FBI, Nevada’s finally got a one, two-punch that could knock out the corruption clogging our system.
Cortez Masto and Rosen are apoplectic, whining that Trump’s “abusing power” by skipping their precious Senate consult tradition. Cry me a river. Their real beef? Chattah’s not one of their clubby insiders, she’s an outsider who’ll actually enforce the law, not just polish the egos of the connected. They’ve got 120 days to block her permanent confirmation, and they’ll fight like cornered cats. Good luck with that. Nevada’s tired of the old guard’s limp, wristed nonsense. Chattah’s here to restore common sense, hold the powerful accountable, and remind everyone that no one’s above the law, not even the sanctimonious suits who’ve been running this state into the ground.
So here’s to Sigal Chattah: a fighter, a patriot, and Nevada’s new hope. The Silver State’s better off with her in charge, and the corrupt better start sweating. Justice isn’t just blind anymore, it’s got teeth, oh by the way, she gets sworn in today!
