Trump Says $2 Gas Is Back in Reach, But Nevada Democrats Still Don’t Get the Message

Gas prices have officially fallen below $3 nationwide for the first time in years, a clear sign the Trump energy comeback is well underway. National averages are now sitting at $2.99, and according to President Trump, that’s just the start. He says $2 gas is “within reach” as his administration rolls back Biden-era restrictions and unleashes American energy.
For most Americans, cheaper gas means relief. For Nevada’s Democratic delegation, it apparently means nothing.
Just weeks ago, Rep. Dina Titus mocked the idea that Trump’s America First energy agenda would ever lower prices for families. Titus, who has spent years cheerleading green mandates and voting against domestic production, was busy blasting Republicans while Nevadans were paying some of the highest prices in the country.
Now gas prices are falling, Trump’s forecast looks spot-on, and Titus has once again been caught on the wrong side of reality.
This is becoming a pattern. When prices soared under Biden, Nevada’s Democrats blamed everyone but themselves. When Trump cut regulations and expanded production, Democrats claimed it wouldn’t make a difference. And now that Americans are seeing real, tangible results, Titus and her allies are silent, pretending they didn’t spend three years propping up policies that made energy more expensive and daily life harder.
Trump’s pledge to return to $2 gas isn’t just rhetoric. Analysts credit increased production, renewed confidence in domestic energy, and the administration’s reversal of costly environmental rules. Families feel the difference every time they fill up.
Nevadans remember what it was like paying $5, $6, even $7 per gallon while the state’s Democrats pushed anti-energy mandates and lectured voters about “transitioning” to higher costs. Now that relief is finally here, Titus and company don’t get credit, but they do deserve scrutiny.
As prices fall and optimism rises, Nevada families will ask a simple question: Why did Trump accomplish in months what Democrats insisted was impossible for years?
And more importantly: Why did Nevada’s Democratic delegation fight him every step of the way?
One thing is certain: With gas dropping and $2 fuel back on the horizon, Nevadans know exactly which policies work and which politicians don’t.
