A Guy Was Shot and Killed While Working Inside a Residence

LAS VEGAS – Police say a man was fatally shot while working inside a residence in west Las Vegas on Friday afternoon.

At approximately 12:20 p.m., according to Lieutenant Jason Johansson of the Metropolitan Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Kipling Street near South Jones Boulevard and West Washington Avenue in response to reports of a shooting in residence.

A guy in his forties was discovered inside the residence with a gunshot wound, and he died at the scene, according to Johansson.

According to him, the home was being prepped for sale, and various family members of the owners had been working on the property.

“The victim is related to the home’s owner, and they were working on the property,” Johansson explained. We do not believe that they inhabited the residence.

According to him, it is unknown if the victim was shot from inside or outside the residence. Johansson stated that the incident appeared to be localized and connected to “something within this family.”

He stated that no one was in custody about the shooting.
