The president of The Boring Company addressed recent violations and fines linked to the construction of the Vegas Loop transportation project in Las Vegas. Company president Steve Davis spoke about safety and environmental concerns during the ongoing work, saying the firm could have communicated more clearly about incidents that drew scrutiny from regulators and media. The remarks followed a series of citations and penalties issued by state and local agencies for issues including improper sewer discharges and hazards encountered at work sites. Davis said the company acknowledges errors, including the sewer incident, and described efforts to correct them. The Vegas Loop project has faced multiple responses from oversight bodies as tunneling continues under the city.
