LAS VEGAS – Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Chandler Jones was arrested on Thursday night for violating a restraining order and stealing items from his ex-girlfriend’s house.
According to a police report, Jones was served with a temporary restraining order yesterday and immediately began sending the woman Snapchat messages, in violation of the order. He was later seen on her home security cameras and went to her house at least twice.
Jones is also accused of stealing items from outside of his ex-girlfriend’s house and burning them in his backyard. He sent her videos of himself doing it.
Jones was arrested and booked into the Clark County Detention Center in Nevada. He has since been released on bail.
This is the latest in a string of bizarre incidents involving Jones. Earlier this week, he claimed that he was involuntarily admitted to a mental health hospital and given medication against his wishes. He also made some very bizarre and unverified allegations about Raiders coach Josh McDaniels and the death of his former Patriots teammate Aaron Hernandez in a live video.
Jones has been away from the Raiders since September 5 due to a reported dispute over access to the team’s facilities. He has not played a game this season.
According to Adam Schefter, the Raiders are releasing DE Chandler Jones.
