LAS VEGAS – The largest school district in Nevada now has its first electric bus.
The new bus will be shown Tuesday at a media event hosted by the Clark County School District in Las Vegas.
The bus will be put into service in the following weeks.
According to district officials, it was funded by funds from NV Energy and the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection.
The school system claims to have the country’s largest district-owned bus fleet. It has about 1,500 routes and carries over 125,000 kids per day.
