Early Morning Blaze Leads to Discovery of Deceased Individual

A body was discovered early Thursday morning following a motorcycle fire in the west Las Vegas valley, according to the Nevada State Police.
Authorities responded to the scene at approximately 2:40 a.m. near the I-11/US 95 interchange at the northbound Rainbow Boulevard off-ramp. Upon arrival, troopers found a motorcycle on fire and later located a deceased individual lying nearby.
Preliminary details indicate that the person found was not involved in the fire or a crash. Nevada State Police spokesperson Shawn Haggstrom stated that the individual appeared to be unhoused. The cause of death has not yet been confirmed, and no foul play has been reported at this time.
The off-ramp was temporarily closed as law enforcement conducted an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the discovery. Further updates will be provided as they become available.
