LAS VEGAS – Two former Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers were sentenced in court on Tuesday after admitting to abusing children.
In May 2020, John and Destini Woodruff were arrested because of a case of child abuse.
At the time, police said that both John and Destini worked for the LVMPD and that they had hit a child more than once.
Records show that both of them joined the LVMPD in 2016. Destini Woodruff was put on unpaid leave after the allegations, and John Woodruff was fired after a separate internal investigation.
Both of them had 28 to 72 months of jail time put on hold and were given three years of probation. John Woodruff will also have to stay at the Clark County Detention Center for 364 days.

Looks like the new “extra-extended” background check has blown it again. Maybe liberals should institute a new “mega-extended” background check and see if that works.
