Henderson Police Investigate Water Street Shooting Tied to Reported Vehicle Theft

Henderson police are investigating a shooting that left three people injured after an incident involving a stolen construction vehicle in the Water Street area on Sunday morning.
According to the Henderson Police Department, officers were dispatched around 9:10 a.m. following a report of a stolen vehicle. During a media briefing later in the day, HPD Captain Haven Tillman confirmed that the call regarding the stolen construction equipment ultimately led to the shooting.
Authorities said the situation escalated as officers responded to the area, resulting in gunfire and injuries to three individuals. All injured parties were transported to local hospitals, though police have not released details about their conditions or whether the victims were involved in the theft.
