A multi-vehicle crash on northbound State Route 160 sent one person to the hospital in critical condition early Sunday morning, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
The collision, involving five vehicles, was reported at approximately 4:38 a.m. near mile marker 19 on SR-160, close to the Mountain Springs area. Emergency responders transported one individual by ambulance to a local hospital, where they were listed in critical condition. No additional information about the other drivers or passengers has been released.
Nevada Highway Patrol temporarily closed eastbound lanes in the area to allow investigators to assess the scene and clear damaged vehicles. The closures caused traffic delays before all lanes were later reopened.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
