Las Vegas Aces Won WNBA Title in Game 4 Over Connecticut Sun

LAS VEGAS – Sunday’s WNBA Finals Game 4 victory by the Las Vegas Aces over the Connecticut Sun was the franchise’s first.
Riquna Williams nailed two late 3s to seal the Aces’ win.
Las Vegas guard Chelsea Gray scored 20 points with six assists, and WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson added 11 points and 14 rebounds.
Gray was finals MVP. She shot 58% and averaged 18.3 points per game.
Sun forward Alyssa Thomas had 11 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists in Game 3 to become the first player in league history to accomplish so twice.
Becky Hammon, hired as the Aces head coach before the season, is the only coach to win the championship in their rookie season since the league’s inception in 1997.
First major sports championship for Las Vegas.
