Las Vegas, NV – A Las Vegas man, Anthony Lopez-Meza, is facing multiple charges in connection with a hit-and-run crash that occurred on January 28th, 2024, resulting in the death of a pedestrian.

Incident Details:

  • According to police reports, Lopez-Meza allegedly ran a red light while driving a black GMC pickup truck at a speed exceeding the posted limit.
  • The truck collided with the back of another vehicle before striking and killing 34-year-old pedestrian Adrian Duerson at the intersection of Lake Mead Boulevard and Tonopah Drive.
  • Witnesses reported seeing the truck “swerving” through traffic and failing to stop after the collision.

  • Police identified Lopez-Meza as the suspect based on witness statements and vehicle registration information.
