LAS VEGAS — A man was booked into the Clark County Detention Center after police say he tried to lure a juvenile into a vehicle Tuesday, court records and law enforcement sources show. Officers arrested 47-year-old Kendrick Weatherspoon after witnesses reported suspicious behavior and notified authorities. Las Vegas police say Weatherspoon allegedly attempted to engage the minor before the situation was interrupted by a nearby resident, who contacted dispatch. Detectives responded, took Weatherspoon into custody without incident and charged him with attempted kidnapping of a minor in the first degree. Police have not released further details pending ongoing investigation and possible additional charges. Community members are encouraged to report any related information.
