LAS VEGAS — A powerful gust of wind toppled a mature tree in northwest Las Vegas late Tuesday, blocking a neighborhood street and prompting a swift response from city crews. Weather alerts had been issued for the valley as a series of strong systems moved through, resulting in periodic wind-related incidents. Residents reported disrupted power lines and falling branches, although no serious injuries have been reported. Public works teams cleared the roadway, and officials reminded drivers to be cautious, especially near open stretches where wind strength can be unpredictable.
