Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Takes Suspects into Custody Following Barricade Situation

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has taken several suspects into custody following a barricade situation earlier today. The incident was reported at around 11:48 a.m. on Wednesday near the area of Miragrande Drive and Dale Evans Drive, with the closest major cross streets being Craig Road and Rainbow Boulevard.
According to reports, the police department discovered a stolen vehicle in the area and attempted to contact the occupants. One of the suspects fled into a nearby house and barricaded herself, refusing to surrender. As a result, SWAT and Crisis Negotiators were called to the scene to assist.
As a standard precaution, officers evacuated nearby residents during the ongoing incident. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported in connection with the barricade situation.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is expected to release further details on the incident in due course.
