Las Vegas police have arrested a woman accused of posing as a nurse and providing fraudulent medical care to children with diabetes.
According to an arrest report, 44-year-old Crystal Scott faces 50 felony charges, including possession of fraudulent prescriptions, acting as a nurse without a license, furnishing dangerous drugs to minors, and misusing personal information. Investigators say Scott wrote at least 24 fake prescriptions by forging signatures and using the identities of licensed medical professionals without authorization.
Police allege that Scott provided consultations, created care orders, and supplied medications such as insulin and injectable drugs to at least a dozen children. Authorities say she gained the trust of families, pharmacies, and schools by falsely claiming to be a registered nurse.
During the investigation, police discovered medications, insulin pumps, forged lab orders, and other medical supplies in her possession.
Scott is also tied to “Glucose N Glow,” a business on Las Vegas Boulevard near Sunset Road that advertises diabetes concierge services, weight loss programs, and IV therapy without a valid business license.
Court records show that Scott appeared in Las Vegas Justice Court on Thursday, where her bail was set at $50,000. She posted bond and was released with conditions barring her from practicing any medical procedures and limiting her contact with minors to her own children.
Her attorney, Jack Buchanan, noted Scott’s lack of prior criminal history and said the case will be litigated further.
The investigation began after a Clark County School District nurse reported irregularities in documents authorizing school staff to administer insulin. Officials later confirmed the signatures were forged and did not belong to the listed physician.
A parent of one of the alleged victims said the case highlights how difficult it is for families to access specialists, sometimes facing wait lists as long as nine months.
