LAS VEGAS, NV — Downtown pedestrians and casino patrons were sent scrambling Tuesday afternoon after a white pickup truck accelerated and plowed directly through the front glass doors of the Main Street Station Casino Brewery Hotel.
The incident was reported at 12:46 PM on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. Surveillance and witness video show the vehicle traveling through the T-intersection where Stewart Avenue terminates before jumping the curb and slamming into the building’s main entrance. The truck came to a rest perched atop a pile of rubble and shattered glass inside the lobby.
Miracle on Main Street: No Injuries
Despite the high volume of foot traffic in the area during the lunch hour, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) confirmed that there were no reported injuries to the driver or anyone inside the casino.
“It’s a miracle nobody was standing right behind those doors,” one witness noted as police cordoned off the entrance. The casino remained operational through other entrances while structural crews began the process of boarding up the mangled facade.
Investigation Into Mechanical Failure
LVMPD officials stated that the motorist did not appear to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. The investigation is currently focused on whether a mechanical malfunction or a medical episode caused the sudden acceleration. As of Wednesday, April 8, no charges have been filed, though the investigation remains active.
