LAS VEGAS, Nev. (702 Times, NV Globe) – Speaking out against the most recent nightclub massacre in Colorado Springs, which left five people dead and 17 more wounded, is the LGBTQIA+ community in Las Vegas.

The tragedy at Club Q, according to Jim Lash, owner of Jimmy’s at Madisons, a popular gay nightclub in Las Vegas, has further reinforced his belief that security is essential at his establishment.

“It was hard. It took me back to October 1st when people were not aware of something that was happening, and it came out of nowhere,” Lash said.

He also talked about the security precautions he has in place at his business.

“We will lock those revolving doors and we have a magnet door,” Lash said. “The cameras will show who is on the outside and they have to buzz in before we let them in,” he added.

Other LGBTQIA+ nightclubs in town, like the Phoenix Bar, expressed their condolences and worries.
