Locals Face Transportation Challenges as Road Construction Increases in the Valley

LAS VEGAS – Road construction is on the rise across the valley, making transportation a challenge for locals.
The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) has revealed that this time of year is ideal for road construction prior to the extreme summer temperatures.
In addition, special event projects within municipalities must also be completed. As a result, commuters can expect longer travel times and extended commutes, regardless of their destination.
To manage the construction process, NDOT holds a meeting every Thursday with Clark County, Formula 1, and other stakeholders to plan three weeks in advance.
This ensures potential conflicts are addressed, and everyone can proceed with the best plan.
Officials have also highlighted that collaborating with the community helps to operate projects smoothly.
