Man in Custody After Telling Business He “Killed Someone,” Police Say

Las Vegas police are investigating a homicide that occurred early Tuesday morning about four miles east of the Strip. According to the Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded to the 2200 block of East Reno Avenue, near Tropicana and Eastern avenues, after receiving a report from a business that a man had entered and stated, “I just killed someone.”
Lt. Steven Ryback said officers went to a nearby residence and found a deceased individual inside. The man who reported the incident was taken into custody at the business. Police have not confirmed whether the suspect and victim were acquainted. This case marks the second homicide investigation underway Tuesday morning.
