Man Responsible for the Las Vegas Strip Bombing Has Gone Missing from Prison

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (NV, Globe) – According to reports, the guy convicted of constructing the bomb outside a Las Vegas Strip casino that killed another man went missing on Tuesday.
Porfirio Duarte-Herrera, 42 years old, is serving a life term without the possibility of release for murder in the Southern Desert Correctional Center, according to documents.
In 2009, he and another guy were found guilty of the murder of a 24-year-old man who died when a bomb placed in a coffee cup exploded. The event occurred in a parking garage of the Luxor hotel in 2007.
According to reports, Duarte-Herrera went missing from a jail count on Tuesday morning.
The investigators requested further information from the Department of Corrections but did not receive a response right away.
