
Nevada Corrections Seeks Escaped Inmate

Jean, NV – The Nevada Department of Corrections is actively searching for a minimum-security inmate who escaped from the Jean Conservation Camp.
According to officials, inmate Joan Wenger was discovered missing during a routine count on Saturday morning, September 14th. Wenger, a 69-year-old female serving a sentence for vehicular homicide, was last seen at the camp located approximately 20 miles south of Las Vegas.
Wenger was admitted to the Department of Corrections in December 2021 and is described as being 5 feet 1 inch tall, weighing 135 pounds, with green eyes and gray hair.
Authorities are urging the public to be vigilant and report any sightings of Wenger to local law enforcement immediately.
Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is asked to call 911.
