One Dead After Late-Night Shooting in Downtown Las Vegas

Las Vegas police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred late Tuesday night near the downtown Arts District.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, officers were dispatched to the scene around 10:30 p.m. after receiving a 911 call from a man who reported that his friend had been shot. The incident occurred in the 200 block of West Utah Avenue.
When officers arrived, they located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Medical personnel responded, but the individual was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have not released additional details about the victim, a possible suspect, or the circumstances leading up to the shooting. Detectives remained in the area overnight conducting interviews and collecting evidence as part of the investigation.
