Police Investigate Fatal Early-Morning Collision at Buffalo and Twain

Las Vegas police are investigating a high-speed collision that left one person dead and another critically injured early Monday morning in the central valley.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the crash occurred around 12:35 a.m. at the intersection of Buffalo Drive and Twain Avenue. Investigators said a vehicle traveling southbound on Buffalo Drive was moving at a high rate of speed when it entered the intersection and collided with another car traveling westbound on Twain Avenue.
Police reported that two occupants of the southbound vehicle were ejected during the impact. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, while the second was transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. The identities of those involved have not yet been released.
The occupants of the other vehicle involved in the crash did not report any injuries, according to authorities.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation, and no additional details were immediately available. LVMPD’s Collision Investigation Section continues to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
