Robbery and Carjacking Suspects Flee on Foot Before Officer Fires Weapon in Henderson

LAS VEGAS – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating an officer-involved shooting in Henderson, near the intersection of Sunset Road and Stephanie Street.
Officers were pursuing robbery and carjacking suspects, and the suspected driver crashed at the intersection.
The suspects fled on foot, and officers discharged a firearm, shooting one of the suspects. The injured suspect was taken to a hospital with gunshot wounds, and no officers were injured.
Both Metro and Henderson police units are on the scene, and the intersection is currently shut down. The public is advised to avoid the area.
