LAS VEGAS, Nev. (702 Times, NV Globe) – The Historic Westside region of Las Vegas is expanding, and a variety of health services are now more accessible thanks to the construction of a new senior medical facility.
Archwell Health, which recently opened on Owens and H Street, is the newest of five institutions in the valley that specializes on primary care for elders.
Luther Clark has lived in the neighborhood for decades and has witnessed the area’s rise firsthand.
“Sometimes it’s hard because you don’t get the care that you want,” he said. “It’s very important and with me coming in yesterday and taking a test, they found out I need a lot of blood work done for stuff I didn’t know I had with this here.”
Dr. Judith Ford outlines the alternatives available to consumers when they visit the health facility.
“We try to make our centers a one-stop shop – blood work, initial testing we have all that here. If we need to get a specialist involved we can do that,” Ford said.
