Shooting Near Las Vegas Strip,1 Person Injured

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (NV, Globe) – According to police, one person was taken to a hospital after being shot near the Las Vegas Strip early Thursday morning.
Police are investigating three different occurrences that are thought to be linked to a gunshot reported approximately 2:50 a.m. on Las Vegas Boulevard at Flamingo Circle, said Lt. David Gordon with Las Vegas Metropolitan Police.
Someone called at about 2:50 a.m. saying his brother was shot. The person who called in was located on Interstate 15 at Flamingo Road. Some law enforcement cars were still visible on the motorway several hours later.
Sunrise Hospital later reported that a man with a bullet wound had been dropped off at 3:45 a.m.
Gordon said authorities suspect one person was shot and is in steady state at Sunrise.
The investigation is still in its initial stages, he said. There was no additional information provided.
