Elon Musk’s The Boring Company has purchased land near Harry Reid International Airport as part of its ongoing plan to expand the Las Vegas Loop transit system.
According to property records, the company acquired the site near Warm Springs Road and Las Vegas Boulevard for approximately $7 million. The location is expected to serve as a key connection point for the Loop’s airport expansion, linking travelers directly to major Las Vegas destinations such as the Strip and the Convention Center.
The Vegas Loop currently operates between the Las Vegas Convention Center and Resorts World, with future plans calling for a 65-mile underground network spanning 69 stations across the valley. The project aims to provide a faster, more efficient alternative to surface transportation, reducing congestion along busy corridors.
Clark County officials approved the Loop’s expansion plans in 2022, with construction proceeding in stages as new stations are completed and connected.
Representatives from The Boring Company have not yet released a detailed timeline for the airport station’s construction or when service might begin.
