LAS VEGAS- According to the sheriff’s office, three persons have been detained on suspicion of murder in connection with the overdose death of a Nye County man last year.
Deputies rushed to Round Mountain on March 21, 2021, for a report of an unconscious man, Riley Briseno, who eventually died, Nye County Sheriff’s Capt. David Boruchowitz said in a recorded video released to social media Wednesday.
The cause of death was revealed to be a fentanyl overdose, and detectives discovered Briseno was given fentanyl-laced opiates.
Skyler Marich, 25, Ryan Tibbetts, 38, and Jimmie Nockideneh Jr., 30, all of Round Mountain, have been identified as suspects in the distribution of the drugs acquired by Briseno.
All three were arrested and put into the Nye County Detention Center on charges of murder and improper use of dangerous narcotics.
