Two Dead, One Wounded After Domestic Dispute Erupts into Shooting at West Reno Avenue Apartment

LAS VEGAS, NV — A late-night domestic argument involving an armed man and two women escalated into gunfire inside a West Las Vegas apartment, leaving two people dead and a third hospitalized with multiple gunshot wounds.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) Homicide Section was called to investigate the incident, which unfolded in the 5100 block of West Reno Avenue, located between South Decatur Boulevard and South Lindell Road.

Gunfire in Apartment and Vehicle Rescue

Patrol officers were initially dispatched just before midnight following reports of gunfire and an injured individual seated inside a vehicle. Arriving units located an adult female inside the car suffering from multiple apparent gunshot wounds. Officers administered trauma first aid until emergency medical personnel arrived and transported her to a nearby hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.

Officers then made entry into a nearby apartment connected to the shooting, where they discovered an adult male and a second adult female suffering from fatal gunshot wounds. Both individuals were pronounced deceased at the scene by medical personnel.

Investigation and Motive Findings

Preliminary findings by homicide detectives revealed that the male suspect had been in a previous relationship with one of the women and was currently in a relationship with the second. All three individuals were inside the residence when a dispute erupted, leading the man to pull out a firearm and open fire on both women.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the official identities of both deceased individuals, along with the official cause and manner of death, following the completion of next-of-kin notifications.
