Authorities Search for Man Who Abandoned Dead Pit Bull in Sun Valley

NEVADA – Authorities are searching for a man who abandoned a dead and emaciated female pit bull in a yard located in Sun Valley. The incident reportedly happened on W. 6th Avenue after 11:45 p.m. last Friday, according to Washoe County Regional Animal Services.
The abandoned dog, believed to be around 1 year old, was brown and white in color and had hobbled legs. The animal services said that the man they are searching for has dark hair and light skin. The man was last seen wearing a black and white baseball cap, black shirt with a white design on the back, black pants and tube socks.
Authorities have asked anyone with information to contact Animal Services Dispatch at (775) 322-3647 or send an email to pets@washoecounty.gov. Tipsters who provide information can choose to remain anonymous.
