Due to flooding in their academic wing, Bishop Manogue Catholic High School has temporarily closed its campus and issued a two-day class cancellation on Monday, August 29, and Tuesday, August 30.
Students will return to class virtually on Wednesday, August 31, and will remain so until Friday, September 2. After the Labor Day holiday, in-person classes are expected to resume on Tuesday, September 6.
The flooding was discovered on August 28 and is thought to be the result of a waterline break at the south end of campus.
School administrators and contracted entities are assessing the damage and putting together a repair schedule so that students can return to the building as soon as possible.
Students and staff were immediately notified of the flood and given the resources they needed to continue with virtual education for the remainder of the week.
BMCHS will keep its school community updated as more information about the repair timeline becomes available.
