NEVADA – The Mosquito Fire in Tahoe National Forest near Foresthill burned 5,705 acres Wednesday evening.
Westerly winds may carry smoke from the Mosquito Fire on the western Sierra to the Tahoe Basin and Greater Reno-Carson City Wednesday night.
The weather agency says the smoke will affect air quality and visibility. Drainage breezes will dissipate the smoke overnight, leaving a haze Thursday morning.
