NEVADA – Authorities have taken action against a 20-year-old man who is now facing a multitude of charges after allegedly selling drugs to students at Incline Village High School. The charges come in response to a series of non-fatal drug overdoses involving students from the school.

The Regional Narcotics Unit’s detectives initiated an investigation into Ramon Navarro, aged 20, in May 2023, following reports of multiple non-fatal drug overdoses among students at Incline Village High School. The inquiry revealed Navarro’s alleged involvement in supplying various illegal drugs to teenagers, including those who experienced the overdoses, within the Incline Village community.

During the course of their investigation, authorities stated that Navarro was identified as the individual who distributed and sold illicit substances, including suspected fentanyl pills and cocaine, to an undercover detective on separate occasions.

On July 27, 2023, a significant breakthrough occurred as Navarro was apprehended and taken into custody during an attempt to sell cocaine and methamphetamine to undercover RNU Detectives. The incident took place in the parking lot of Incline High School.

Navarro has been charged with a range of offenses, including Sales of a Controlled Substance (6 counts), Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell (6 counts), Possession of a Controlled Substance less than 14 grams (8 counts), Possession of a Controlled Substance 14-28 grams (1 count), and Selling/Offering a Controlled Substance on the grounds of a school (1 count).

The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office has actively contributed to this ongoing investigation. The charges levied against Navarro underscore the community’s commitment to safeguarding its youth from the dangers of illegal drugs.

Authorities are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
