Nevada Gas Prices Fall to an Average of $4.84 per Gallon

NEVADA – Gas prices in Nevada are still going down slowly. In the last week, they dropped three cents.
According to a survey by GasBuddy, the average price of a gallon of gas is now $4.84. Diesel, on the other hand, has gone up in price by seven cents in the last week and now costs $5.04 per gallon.
The national average for a gallon of gas is $3.81, which is almost 40 cents less than it was a month ago. Gas prices in the Silver State are much higher than that.
“The national average has dropped again, making it the eleventh week in a row that it has gone down. The price of a gallon of gas is now $1.20 less than it was in mid-June. As a result, Americans spend $450 million less on gas every day, according to Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy.
“Some problems have come up that we’re paying close attention to, like the closing of the biggest refinery in the Midwest. Even though that refinery might be back up and running soon, it’s not impossible that the situation could affect prices in the area in the long run. Prices will stay about the same in the rest of the country, though. This depends on hurricane season, of course, and it looks like the tropics are starting to get active, so it’s not certain that the decline will continue,” he said.
