Reno Police Department Investigating Fatal Pedestrian Accident on South Virginia Street

NEVADA – A tragic incident occurred in Reno last Sunday, as an unidentified pedestrian lost their life after being struck by a car on South Virginia Street. According to police, the pedestrian was rushed to a nearby hospital but unfortunately succumbed to their injuries.
The Reno Police Department M.A.I.T. (Major Accident Investigation Team) has taken over the investigation of the incident. They have confirmed that the driver of the car involved in the incident stayed on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. The authorities have also stated that there is no indication of any involvement of intoxication on the part of the driver.
Police have reported that the pedestrian was not crossing the street using a marked crosswalk at the time of the incident. The Reno Police Department has urged anyone with any information related to the incident to come forward and provide it to the authorities.
