By TheNevadaGlobeStaff, February 21, 2023 6:41 pm
NEVADA – Carson City Public Works is planning maintenance work affecting water service in the Timberline and University Heights areas beginning Sunday, Feb. 26 at 8 p.m. and extending through Monday, Feb. 27. Because of the needed maintenance, there will be no water service and/or less water pressure in the areas affected.
Residents are told to boil water for one full minute before drinking it.
Testing of the water will take place following the work. Residents in the affected areas will be notified when testing is complete, and they are no longer required to boil the water.
It is anticipated that testing will take two days.
For more information, including a map of the affected area and a full copy of the Boil Water Notice, go to www.carson.org/wateralert.
Residents in the affected areas may experience discolored water during the work and after restoration of service. Residents who have dirty water are told not to wash light-colored clothes.
