CARSON CITY, Nev. (775 Times, NV Globe) – Western Nevada College is looking for qualified students to apply for scholarships.
If you’re working multiple jobs and barely making ends meet, there is a better approach.
WNC provides professional and technical training to help you get into one position and earn a higher salary with benefits.
Careers in the automobile sector, welding, and nursing are three alternatives.
“One of the things I pride myself when I’m talking to people is the community when I’m talking with students, to high school students if they’ll listen to a guy my age is that we have money for you to come to school so it’s time to look at a career rather than just an hourly job that may not be there if there’s another recession or pandemic or some other thing that causes a downturn in the economy,” said Dr. J. Kyle Dalpe, President of Western Nevada College.
The William N. Pennington Foundation makes the Career and Technical Education Scholarships feasible.
WNC has received these scholarships from the William N. Pennington Foundation for nearly five years.
